About Instructor

Robert maintains an active speaking and publication schedule. He has presented seminars ranging from the use of Cayman Island entities in corporate structuring to internet-related legal issues.

His published articles include a survey of recent high technology legislation to a discussion of agreements in the Software as a Service, or SaaS, industry.

Robert is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California, and serves as Vice-Chair of Member Services.

He also works with a number of multinational companies in their U.S. market entry activities, often migrating those companies into Silicon Valley as part of venture financing transactions.

Specialties: Angel and early stage venture financings, sell-side and buy-side acquisitions of technology companies, technology transfer including joint venture development and distribution transactions, software licensing and software as a service arrangements, U.S. market entry, with particular experience with companies from Australia, Canada, Denmark, and Finland, and general corporate governance.
