The practice of Appreciative Inquiry

Business - Carrie Foster

In this course, we talk about the act of Appreciative Inquiry (AI) as a community-oriented and useful request process. We begin with a concise diagram of AI and it connects to a quality based way to deal with human improvement and hierarchical change versus a shortfall based change approach. This prompts a discussion about the energy of positive addressing and narrating as successful approaches to connect with partners in change endeavors, including a manual for leading grateful meetings, and the effect of 'best past' inquiries. At that point, we investigate the AI change strategy as the 4-D cycle: Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny stages to take advantage of the center qualities of the association.

This course inspects the established standards of AI and the exploration that exhibits the hierarchical effect of positive inquiries, and the connection between positive potential outcomes without bounds and the subsequent activities.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and its links to a strength-based approach to human development and organizational change.
  • Identify the power of positive questioning and story-telling as effective ways to engage stakeholders in change efforts.
  • Explore the Appreciative Inquiry (AI) change method in the form of the 4-D cycle.
